She started her career as a model during the 1970s and soon became one of the most well-known figures in modeling. After studying acting Russo embarked on a modeling career in Los Angeles. But she has always come out the winner. Rose took on Carla Esparza on April 15 of 2015 to win the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza via a technical knockout within less than three minutes of Round One. Rose not only got the title, but also was awarded Fighter Of The Night. Rose has also created MMA history by winning this fight as she became the first woman to compete in a title fight at an organization that is a major one. Namajunas then went on to win a few other fights. She also beat Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, winning the Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
